Existing Sources of Water in the Dublin Region

The current population of the Dublin Region (Water Supply Area) is supplied with drinking water from water treatment plants operated by Dublin City Council and Fingal County Council.

Roundwood (River Vartry) Leixlip (River Liffey)

There is also a small groundwater source in north Fingal (Bog of the Ring), which is a source of local importance to the general Balbriggan area, and a number of local groundwater sources, which are being developed in County Kildare.
